Project aimes and objectives:
To respond to the training needs of environmental non-governmental organisations (NGOs) in South Eastern Europe, a set of user-friendly guides has been produced by REC under the publication series “Developing Skills of NGOs.” Experts from South Eastern Europe were involved in producing the guides, ensuring that the lessons within are informed by an understanding of the specific needs of the region. The series includes seven guides on the folowing topics:
- Public education to raise environmental awareness
- Evaluation and monitoring
- Local environmental action programmes
- Presentation and communication
- Project management
- Proposal writing
- The right to know
The purpose of this project is to publish and promote the manuals in Croatian, in wider environmental community.
Expected results and impacts:
1. At least 3 training manuals published in Croatian language and diseminated to environmental stakeholders.
2. One promotional activity organised to promote published material and other environmental gatherings used also for the promotion and dissemination.
3. At least 50 environmental stakeholders familiarized through promotional activities on training manuals scope, topics, and benefits.
4. Improved ability of environmental stakeholders to communicate, plan, implement and evaluate environmental programs and projects in a systematic and strategic manner.

Electronic and printed editions of the manuals in Croatian are available in the office of REC Croatia, Djordjiceva 8a, Zagreb.
